Welcome to Full Time Hobbiest! 

Hello there!  Thank you so much for visiting my blog - Hope you enjoy!  My name is Melissa and I aspire to be a full time hobbiest.  Sounds like a legit job right??  It also sounds a bit like I'm standing in a smoky, poorly lite room admitting my addictions...  Maybe I do have a bit of a problem, but to me it's a great problem to have.  So many hobbies, so little time... 

I am currently an Administrative Assistant at a University here in MN and I really do like my job and the people I work with.  The only bad thing is, the 8 - 5 hours really cut into my creative time!  I hope to some day trade in this full time job to become a full time hobbiest.  :)

Aside from my many hobbies of home decorating (on the cheap), dyi-ing, crafting, sewing, re-purposing furniture, and learning to cook/bake, I am also a wife and mom to a very busy family!  I married my high school sweetheart (awww) and we have two beautiful children.  Currently our lives revolve around them and I feel so fortunate to be involved in as much as I am.
